The SO Project ~ Make Up Tools

It’s the final week of the So Project, I honestly wish this could go on for longer. The amount of great new blogs that I have found and the new friendships that I have made, has made this an amazing experience. This post is all about Make Up Tools, I have been going on about all this different brushes and other make up tools that can be used for applying make-up, In many of the previous SO Project post. I have made the mistake of buying cheap product, then have had to buy the same product again and again. The one and only tip that I will give is to…

The So Project ~ Eye shadow

I know I have been talking a lot about making sure that your make-up looks as natural as possible, that make-up should enhance your looks. When it comes to Eye shadow . . . eye shadow is not really a natural looking type of make-up. It is amazing for making your eyes really stand out, can really make a change to your whole face. What I love the most about eye shadow is that it come in all the colours that you could possibly imagine. And it can come in matte and super sparkly. The best advice that I can give is to experiment and see what works for you…

    The SO Project ~ Lips

Lip are the most noticeable feature (after eyes anyway) But are the easiest part of the face to enhance with make-up. And if you don’t feel like you need all the other make-up mentioned, you must be really lucky or really brave, but if you choose not to wear a lot of make-up. Lipstick or a product for your Lips is a must. It can make such a difference to the face, giving a youthful appearance.   Prepare yourself . . . this might be the only post where I don’t mention needing a special type of make-up brush to apply a product to your lips. It just isn’t necessary,…

    The SO Project ~ Eyeliner

Whenever I think of Eyeliner, I can’t help but think of Cleopatra, In any picture that can be seen of her, the Eyeliner is the part that stands out to me, almost giving a look of cats eyes. Eyeliner can come in many different forms: The Pencil, Gel and Liquid. Eye pencils ~ This is the most commonly used Eyeliner and nothing beats a classic. The Pencil Eyeliner can be applied to the eye lid as well as the lower lid. To apply ~ using small short strokes, take the pencil just above your eye lashes, start in the middle and draw a short line over it. When you get…

    The SO Project ~ Mascara

This is the product that I can not and will not live without. It’s like the Magic Wand that Harry Potter would be envious of. It can really transform a person’s face and make the eyes really stand out and grab a lot of attention. The miracle of Mascara is that it can create something from almost nothing, bringing length, volume and thickness to your eyelashes. It can be easy to add too much mascara to the lashes, thinking that the more you add the better it looks. This is not true and can end up making your eyes look like a massive hairy spider. Try to avoid this look,…

    The SO Project ~ Blusher

While I used to work at Selfridges, my assistant manager was . . . a complete flirt, not with me, but many others, it was so entertaining. He was tall, dark with the biggest smile, it was blinding. And I have to say, he loved his clothes, no one else took more pride in their appearance. I remember one girl who really liked him, she would constantly visit, and it was easy for her cause she worked on the same floor. He would also often go off, telling no one where he was going . . . But you could see it all over his shirts, or T-shirt . .…

    The SO Project ~ Foundation

I have to confess something  . . . I am very lazy when it comes to Make Up. I barely wear make-up most days. The most I will put on is BB Cream. I used to wear a full face of make-up back when I used to work in Selfridges. Mostly due to Mystery Shop-Gate! But I would leave my home early, to get to work very early, just so I could spend 15 minutes putting on make-up before work. But back then, my job was a tiny bit commission based, so working on the men’s floor  . . . that kinda involves flirting, just a tiny amount . .…

    The SO Project – Concealers

Concealer is one of those products that I have to have in my make-up collection. A lot of my acne scars have gone thanks to another product, but I do have dark circles under my eyes. So, in my books Concealers are like a magic wand that can hide scars and marks. I tend not to use Concealer on any blemishes, because I feel is make the blemish more obvious. But if you feel like you would like to conceal blemishes, many make up brands have blemish or touch up sticks that are really good for that. I wouldn’t recommend just going out and picking anything from a beauty isle,…

    The SO Project

When I was younger, I had no clue about make up, I didn’t think I really needed it  . . . and I was a little lazy. But one day, while working, one of the floor managers came up to me and told me that I had been . . . Mystery Shopped! Don’t worry; it was me helping this customer, so the mystery shop itself was amazing. It was just the description of me; this customer said I looked  . . . 31+! At the moment, I have a year before I even reach 30. At the time, I was in my early 20’s. So having this random person…

    My Battle With Acne

The biggest skin problem I have is acne. It started when I was in my teens and didn’t really clear up till I was in my 20’s. It wasn’t severe acne, it was fairly mild compared the severe acne that some people have, but it lasted for years. I tried all the products that were aims at teens with spots, I even used a product that was meant to be worn only at night, during the daytime. The reason that this wasn’t a good idea was because this product was a gel that once it dried, would look like a face mask that would need to be peeled off, and…
