    Happy, Healthy & Broke

Now that I have made not only the decision, but actually effort to be healthier, I have noticed that I kinda feel like I need to do certain things. That I have to not eat certain things because it is part of the current trend of being healthy. Don’t have any meat! No dairy! No fish! Don’t use white flour! Am I the only one that feels like this? I can’t live off just kale  . . . I don’t even like kale, unless it is with lot of other vegetables, seasoning and sometimes peanut butter. And I can’t give up meat! Cut it down a bit  . . .…

    Holiday in Lisbon

Although I had this amazing holiday last year, I enjoyed it so much I was dying to talk about it on my blog. Instead I told everyone at work that would listen, still do. Let me set the scene for you; all the way back in May, me and a group of my friends were determined to go on holiday together. Mostly because one of my friends was like “I need to go on holiday for my birthday! You, you and you are joining me!” the only thing to say to a request like that is “for how long, and where are we going!” like I was every going to…

New Year, New Healthy Focused You

What can I say… it has been ages! 2015 was too dramatic and busy. But with a new year, there is a new focus and opportunities to make 2016 amazing! First a look back on 2015; What was on the Bucket List last year? Go on holiday. Save money. Cook and Bake more. Sew and blog. Be healthy and exercise. Save money . . . and buy a designer bag . . . (okay maybe shouldn’t have put those together!) Win the lottery (that could help pay for the designer bags I need in my life!) Get inspired and do something about it. Take pictures more often What I did…

    In The Pursuit Of Happiness

For the past month, I’ve been a bit M.I.A on my blog. Usually I might miss a post one week out of the whole month. The past month or two, I think it has been a bit more than one or two here or there. It’s not because I’m bored of my blog (never) not because I have run out of ideas, (with the Make For Less Challenge I’ve seen a few more things I want to make, so that’s unlikely). It’s mostly to do with work, not just because I’m exhausted, though that is a factor. It is because I almost had the chance to get the perfect job.…

    2014 Bucket List

I think I may have become a bit obsessed with Bucket Lists. I honestly haven’t done much on my other bucket list. Mostly because they are things I want to achieve in my life and are not so easy to do day-to-day. So randomly one day I thought, rather than make New Years Resolutions, I would create a short list of things I want to achieve this year. This ‘short list’ became this kinda long bucket list . . . Work on the Blog more – try to post at least 1-2 post per week. If you have more time, then post more. Make more effort to get out of…

    My Bucket List

Last week, I meet up with one of my friends from college. We haven’t seen each other in maybe a year or more  . . . most likely more because I had a birthday and crimbo gift that had been in my wardrobe for far too long. As my friend and I always do, we have a massive catch up conversation, laugh loads and wipe tears from our eyes (from all the laughing). When she told me that she started a Bucket List of things she wanted to do before she reaches . . . a certain age. I couldn’t help but think that I had to create one of…

    While At Work

It was one of those really dull, grey and boring days, when these two Australians came up to me, we started talking about how nice Australians was.  I mention the television series, Wanted down under saying that from watching that,  I would defiantly move there. These lovely customers had almost packed my bag for me,yelling me that the people are friendly, it’s sunny and Australia really needs more people to move there. I was sold, mostly by their words, but also by the image I was creating in my mind  . . . hot auzzie men . . . and some sand, but mostly the men. I was planning to…
