This is the product that I can not and will not live without. It’s like the Magic Wand that Harry Potter would be envious of. It can really transform a person’s face and make the eyes really stand out and grab a lot of attention.
The miracle of Mascara is that it can create something from almost nothing, bringing length, volume and thickness to your eyelashes. It can be easy to add too much mascara to the lashes, thinking that the more you add the better it looks. This is not true and can end up making your eyes look like a massive hairy spider. Try to avoid this look, the least flattering look you can do to your eyes.
I only add a few layers, I don’t want everyone knowing that I’m wearing it. If someone asks me if my lashes are real . . .I say yes with a massive smile. It would be extremely awkward if that person started laughing in my face because my lashes are being weighed down lots of clumps.
With so many Mascaras out they, it can be confusing to pick which one you want to go for. To be honest . . . and you didn’t hear this from me . . . but . . . most Mascaras have the same effect. Don’t think that if you buy an expensive one, it will give you the lashes that you have always dreamed of I don’t pay over £20 for a Mascara, but honestly most of the ones I have are from either magazines or part of a gift from buying other product.
I loved this one from Clinique, I got these samples free from quite a lot of their Bonus Time Gift sets. I love this mostly because of the comb that is part of the brush. I feel like it helps separate and define the lashes and the brush helps the add the volume that I feel my lashes need. Its like having the best of both worlds, if I just want to use the brush I can, or if I wish to use only the comb I can. (This product is no long sold by Clinique 🙁 )
One of the best selling Mascaras on the market is Maybelline’s Great Lash and it really is a great Mascara, it’s the one I use the most and for the price that it cost of £4.99, it really is a brilliant little mascara. It is Waterproof, it hardly Clumps, it is brilliant.
Eyelash Curlers ~ If you feel like you want to give your lashes an extra boost, you can use an Eyelash Curler. I am not gonna lie, I have never used an eyelash curler, it scares me. So if you really want to know how to use a eyelash curler, Youtube is brilliant to help you get great advice.
How To Apply Mascara ~ I always sit in front of a mirror start from the base of the lash all the way to the tip. I haven’t found a Mascara that looks amazing after just one application, so I tend to re-apply a couple of times and making sure that I have applied the Mascara to the lashes at the side and the lower part of my eye lashes too.
If I am using the Clinique Mascara with the brush, I use the comb part of the brush part first, to define the lashes, then the main brush park, to add thickness to the lashes.
