The SO Project ~ Lips

Lip are the most noticeable feature (after eyes anyway) But are the easiest part of the face to enhance with make-up. And if you don’t feel like you need all the other make-up mentioned, you must be really lucky or really brave, but if you choose not to wear a lot of make-up. Lipstick or a product for your Lips is a must. It can make such a difference to the face, giving a youthful appearance.

Prepare yourself . . . this might be the only post where I don’t mention needing a special type of make-up brush to apply a product to your lips. It just isn’t necessary, many lip products come right out of a tube, or have some kind of applicator or can just be applied using your finger tip.

The best advice I will give you is . . . take care of your lips, keep a lip balm with you at all times. Even if you don’t wear lipstick, a lip balm can help keep you lips nourished and helps prevent dry and cracked lips. When you do decide to wear lipstick, cracked lip can really stand out, especially with lipsticks, drawing attention to your lips for the wrong reason.

Most of my little collection of lip product, I managed to get from gift or bonus gift events when I purchased two or more products I would get a gift bag free (reason why I have so many Clinique Lipsticks and Glosses) or from magazines. It doesn’t hurt to keep an eye out for free samples like these, you can easily try the product and if you like it, you can buy it without worrying if the colour would suit you or not. In my whole collection of Lipstick and Glosses, I have only actually purchased 4 of them.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, the Bellapierre product can be used for almost anything, including lip gloss. That is what I used the Red one for . . . you didn’t think I used it on my eyes did you, I love colour, but, for me, that is just a little too much colour to go one eyes, it can be for Nails and lips, maybe even blusher. If you are brave enough to try it, don’t let me stop you.

To apply the Bellapierre Powder ~ Just put a little on the back of your hand, use some Clear lip gloss, Mix it with the powder and apply to lips. It’s that easy.

Lip Glosses are really great products that can add a hint of colour to you lips and adds a great sheen or glossy effect to you lips. For me this effect doesn’t last very long and I usually need to reapply a lot throughout the day. But it is a great little product that can enhance the lips just a little bit.

Lipsticks, well they are my go to product, nothing beats a lipstick in my eyes. The colours that are available are amazing, and if I still feel like I need a bit of gloss, I can just add Vasaline or clear lip balm. The lips can have a great colour and still be nourished by the lip balm.
