    Living The Naturally Sassy Way

I think I took a bit too long enjoying this book . . . I loved this cook book. It is perfect for my life style! It was a great introduction to living a mostly  . . . completely  . . . veggie diet. I especially loved the parts dedicated to oats, over night oats, work lunches for the week. And the food was really delicious, not just for me, the whole house loved the Saturday dinners too. I don’t think I have had so many regular complements of the food I have cooked each and every time . . . I truly do not know if any of the …

    I Can’t Help It, I’m Addicted!

Addicted to  . . . buying Healthy Cook Books! Okay, I admit it. It might not seem like a serious problem, but I have a slight shopping addiction to healthy cook books and it is becoming a big issue (its tiny really) And I am okay with the fact that it is books and not things like shoes, bags, clothes, jewellery  . . .  it could be so much worse  . . . and expensive! The time I realised that I had this problem, was last week. I was in my local Sainsbury’s, buying food (duh) and I turn a corner and see this stand of healthy cook books .…

    Crazy To Go Solo?

You will be surprised with the amount of times that I was asked if I was crazy when I told people that at the last-minute (2 weeks before) I was going to go on holiday . . . by myself. My mum was the first to question my sanity, she even tried to sabotage me . . . okay sabotage is a strong word . . . more like gently encourage me to change my mind, cancel that flight and go to see my aunt and uncle for a week in Southeast Asia. Thankfully, the many calls to my aunt went unanswered. And I had already done my research! It…

    Happy, Healthy & Broke

Now that I have made not only the decision, but actually effort to be healthier, I have noticed that I kinda feel like I need to do certain things. That I have to not eat certain things because it is part of the current trend of being healthy. Don’t have any meat! No dairy! No fish! Don’t use white flour! Am I the only one that feels like this? I can’t live off just kale  . . . I don’t even like kale, unless it is with lot of other vegetables, seasoning and sometimes peanut butter. And I can’t give up meat! Cut it down a bit  . . .…

    Solo Travel Essentials

Back in February, literally two weeks before my birthday, I made a complete ‘you only live once’ decision to go on my first ever solo trip. I had already booked off two weeks for my birthday anyway, I had no real plans other than chill at home, cooking/baking healthy food, hanging out with some friends. Nothing really set in stone. And I was very easily persuaded by literally two colleagues at work that I should just go on a holiday . . .  solo. So I did a tiny bit of research into solo travel; where I was going to go, hotel or Airbnb, go safe – to somewhere I…

    Oh No and Yum

I had planned on my next post being about how great my first solo holiday was, how I had decided to do it, where I went, how it went and the places I went to visit, the great food I ate . . . I had finished writing the post not that long after I had come back and had loaded up all my . . . nearly 1000 pictures that I had taken on my camera . . . don’t ask me how many I took on my phone. But I had spent almost a week trying to upload all these stunning pictures to my blog. Either there was…

    Holiday in Lisbon

Although I had this amazing holiday last year, I enjoyed it so much I was dying to talk about it on my blog. Instead I told everyone at work that would listen, still do. Let me set the scene for you; all the way back in May, me and a group of my friends were determined to go on holiday together. Mostly because one of my friends was like “I need to go on holiday for my birthday! You, you and you are joining me!” the only thing to say to a request like that is “for how long, and where are we going!” like I was every going to…

New Year, New Healthy Focused You

What can I say… it has been ages! 2015 was too dramatic and busy. But with a new year, there is a new focus and opportunities to make 2016 amazing! First a look back on 2015; What was on the Bucket List last year? Go on holiday. Save money. Cook and Bake more. Sew and blog. Be healthy and exercise. Save money . . . and buy a designer bag . . . (okay maybe shouldn’t have put those together!) Win the lottery (that could help pay for the designer bags I need in my life!) Get inspired and do something about it. Take pictures more often What I did…

    2015 Bucket List

Even though it is . . . like June . . . it is never too late for a . . . erm; mid year bucket list creating. It is never too late . . . well unless it is like November. That would be stupidly awkward. But it is something that I like and is a great way to get stuff done. I think I did pretty well on ticking off some of my Bucket List for 2014. The major thing that I wanted to achieve; and to be honest I wasn’t sure that it was actually going to happen; like getting a new job, I wasn’t just offered…

    Bucket List Buster Weekend

So it was my birthday recently, don’t ask how old, a lady never tells. And to be honest; I wasn’t really planning on doing much for my birthday. I’m at the age where I don’t go “Woohoo! I’m another year older!” its more like “boohoo!” So this year; I assumed would be not different. The months leading up to my birthday, I thought I would be happy with dinner and hanging out with my friends. It wasn’t until my birthday was looming when I thought that I really wanted to do something different and celebrate my birthday. What was that something? It wasn’t a party! Too much effort and I…
